Art | Oh Yoko, I will fill out your questionnaire for film № 4

Back in June to mid-September 2012, Moderna Museet Stockholm had an exhibition Yoko Ono: Grapefruit. This is where I got a chance to read Yoko Ono’s mini-treatise On Film № 4 (in taking the bottoms of 365 saints of our time). Yes, yes, yes, as in the movie referred to as “Bottoms”. Although I kept the questionnaire, I did not complete it. Don’t know why. It is quite probing. Join me. Once we are done, it’s time to follow up with some scores, such as: TUNAFISH SANDWICH PIECE Imagine one thousand suns in the  sky at the same time.  Let them shine for one hour. Some mice get the right treatment.

Researchers at Penn State fed a group of Mickeys high-glycemic meals, those meals with the non-fiber carbohydrates that are broken down quickly during digestion, hence releasing glucose into the bloodstream rapidly – not recommended if you are a diabetic and to be looked out for if you are watching your weight – with an antioxidant extract from green tea. The spiking in blood glucose levels was tempered by the extract by a half compared to what happened in the Mickeys that missed out.

The potential of green tea to lower the glycemic index of the food eaten while gulping the brew may be the simple and tasty blessing for diabetics and weight watchers. Hey, anyone! Not just the mice. “Downing 1.5 cups of green tea will do the trick – try it with your morning bagel or a Chinese dinner.”

Ery-“can do no wrong”. Like any artist, her art morphs but “the essence is the same”. Sky high head wraps, major afro wigs, bleach blonde do’s – no matter, she is always stylish, futuristic and supportive, hell, very protective, of black culture. A fine selector, too. “… love it or learn it.” I like this earth mama. She may have been publicly born in a waft of burning incense – “On & On” – floating on the good vibes “Didn’t Cha Know”, but she calls it like it is. She tells you when to call “Tyron” to help you get your shit – oh boyfriend you; she warns you about all them bags getting in your way – oh “Bag Lady” girlfriend you; she wonders about the “Other Side of the Game” and its “Danger”.
